This miniature Tsuba necklace is cast from an original carved by Ford Hallam, who is the other half of Isabella Day and is the world's leading expert in Japanese metalsmithing.
A tsuba is a Japanese sword guard and show different subjects, this one is a pine tree.
The sword would traditionally go through the central hole, although a sword to go through this would be the size of a borrower!

This one is finished with a satine effect and we think it looks best like that.
